Audio playback in 2 languages simultaneously

Please help - have got a film in Divx - but during playback - its has two audio tacks coming out, so I am hearing everything in English, followed by everything in German, a split second behind it. What do I need to do so I only get the one audio track? Sorry if this a really straightforward thing - but I am completely stuck - so advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks for your time

If, in fact, there are two SEPARATE audiostreams, load the file into VirtualDubMOD (different than standard VirtualDub), click on the "Streams" dropdown menu, delete one of the audiostreams.

From the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Direct Stream Copy"

Save with a new filename
