4 more days to decide whether to drop Netflix and go with Total Access or not. Looks like I gotta try it out. Although Netflix has been exceptionally great in sending me all of the new releases the past several months.

    Decisions... Decisions...

Thanks Night, I did get an e-mail from BB about that. I am probably going to switch back to BB (with that 2 free weeks) after I get the three new releases from Netflix this Tues . I'll cancel Netflix as soon as I get Superman Returns, Clerks 2, and The Ant Bully.

I got all 3 today, Superman Returns was 1 of 2 in the mail, and The Ant Bully and Clerks 2 on a swap. Only 1 in store coupon for December for me. 48 and counting

Well I'm off to a CRAPPY start with Blockbusters Total Access!!

I put 3 movies in my queue for starters and they all showed as available, so I figured I was set as far as my first shipment. I then proceeded to add future releases only to my queue, so none others showed as actually available, but rather as saved.
A whole day goes by but none of those three available movies are sent??? I e-mail them to ask if I missed a step in re-activating my account (W/ that free two weeks). Then all of a sudden two of the movies get sent, but not the third, despite it still showing as available.

Then I get an e-mail response to my e-mail and they claim that I need to have around 30 movies in my queue so they can be sure to send an available movie??? Kind of absurd!! That third movie is still showing as available and it has still not been sent.

Not a good way to keep me staying with BB. Netflix was sending me all the weeks new releases on a religious basis (within one day) even though I would only have three movies in my queue.....(I only kept three in my queue because that's the three I want, not what I want to 'settle' for!!!

Doesn't look good for me guys.

It can be a bumpy start, but give it a week or so to level out. I think you will start to like it, esp. if you return the movies to the store for an instant free rental! Can't beat that turnaround time!

                regards, katz

That is why I gave up on BlockBuster when I did...I had about 60 movies in my queue. They are supposed to send from the top of the list in descending order based on availability, but the way that they selected the movies to send me seemed totally random. I gave up after a while and stuck with Netflix, now I don't have either. Although I'm thinking of reupping with Netflix soon.

I don't know if my BB store is doing something wrong or what.. I have yet to have another movie shipped to me after returning one to the store until 3 to 4 days later after BB actually receives the movie. Emailing them only gets the typical computer generated reply. I can get more movies than before by returning to the store, but it would be nice if it actually worked as advertised.

                            Hello, All,
I’ve been watching this forum for some time and thank you for the info I have received in DVD backup, etc. Thought I would final jump in to give my experience with Netflix and Blockbuster.

I’ve been with Netflix some time. With the 3-at-a-time I got about 16 to 18 per month. My top was 21. I had tried Blockbuster before and the experience was terrible. They sent series discs out of sequence ( 2 before 1, etc.) They showed films as available but skipped over them to send items further down in the queue. When they offered the option to return discs to the store with the extra free disc and another 2 weeks free trial I jumped back in. So far it has been working as advertised. The first week I’ve received 11 films including the free ones from the store. They seem to ship 1 day after I return to the store and before they actually receive the return which takes about 3 days. The problem of jumping over my top queue “available” still persists. I will stick with it for a month or two and see what happens. I have reduced my Netflix to 1 and a time.

Yes, the store has few old ones so I get those on-line and the new ones at the store. Old titles at the store are is short supply.
