It appears that come December, they are doing away with the weekly online coupons.
Does anyone know if they plan on keeping the monthly online coupon?

From what I see in the FAQ, if you were with them when the online coupons were good for games you'll get 2 online coupons a month. I was not so my 4weekly go down to 1 monthly online coupon.
I did hit 50 from the ones shipped on 10-30 until today, counting the 4 weekly coupons and the 2 they sent me when I complained before Thanksgiving.

I think they may have gotten behind because of bad storms this week. I know that their call center was not open this Thursday because of storms.
So, maybe they are playing catchup?

jamoskeag3, that's right I seen that the phone in customer service was closed . I ususally get mine mailed from Philly and to return back to Philly.

Mighty nice of them to do this, I hope the Saturday mailings continue with no bad weather for anybody

Well BB just lost me as a customer for good, most likely.
I re-activated my account on Tuesday and received one movie on Thurs, one on Friday, and the third has yet to arrive, so most likely Monday.
That slugs' pace coupled with them not sending me what I prefer first at the top of my queue just isn't going to be balanced out by the in store 'total access'.

Don't know why they started so crappily for me, but I just re-activated my Netflix account Friday and I have all three movies that were at the top of my queue in my hands right now (Saturday).

Netflix is jut coming thru for me and it just might be more convenient than having to go to the BB store to try and out-do Netflix's speed.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, hope BB comes thru for you all, they just haven't for me.

Mikey, I still have my 3@time on NF and have noticed a speed increase in the mailing of DVDs to me after they get my returns. Maybe my mailman stopped watching the DVDs I get, I dunno

                      Mikey,
I also had some problems this week that i do not think is representative of their service ,IMHO. I think it may be related to storm interruptions. Id give them a few more weeks and see how it goes. if still problem for you, well than id go elsewhere.

                        Hi 1st post!

I'm not sure if they're still doing it, but when I first signed up with Blockbuster, I added BBSTORE in the promo box and instead of getting a free 2 week trial it was for one month, 3@ a time with 2 online coupons!

Prior to that I had NetFlix and was extremely satisfied but with Total Access, BB is hard to beat. After the trial, I subscribed for 3 movies a month and get 7 with TA and an online coupon, which is about $1.35 per movie!

However I have noticed an inconsistancy. I've got a movie turned around in a single 24 hour period (prior to TA, I don't know how that happened!) to the normal 4 day wait to 1 week, but since I'm only getting 3 a month in the mail now, it really doesn't matter.

Like I said earlier in a post. Ever since BB started this Netflix has been a lot faster with the turnarounds. With the 3a week I"ve been averaging about 12 movies a week. Fast enough for me to watch and get them back.

steverareno, I noticed the speed in maybe the last week. Since 10-30 with NF I got 24, with BB I got 50 with the TA thing. In the last 6 months or so with NF I was lucky to get 15-18, mostly about ~16. Maybe the Philly area got the word late from NF to speed things up or my mailman is still having a good time with mine

Block buster pulls the newest scam in my eyes.

Last week I found that our block buster has cut their movie inventory in half. The manager told me that due to the fact they are one of the biggest distibutors for the online movie rentals that they will no longer stock about half of the movies they once did.

So if you want to rent movies that they pulled from the store shelves you have to sign up for the online rental.

The manager told me that my account wouldnt be throttled like it was the last time I tried the online, so I have decieded to give them a second chance.

Signed up supposed to get a 2 week free trial yet my first billing dates is 9 days after my sign up date so now thats only 9 days free trial not 2 weeks.

And so far nothing in my list was shipped.

So basically the store has the movies just not out on the shelf for rent unless you have the online. Then they get mailed to you.

OK the new big thing is you can return your movies right there at BB instead of mailing them back then you can take 3 more for the 3 returned. But how long to get the 3 to be able to take back.

And will there be the movies I want to exchange them for when I do return them since most of them are no longer there for IN Store.

I think this is crap. But I am giving this only thing one more chance.
I have already had to file a complaint on not getting 2 weeks free as advertised and It looks like I will have to file a complaint on why NO movies have been mailed yet.
