    Televisions with an ATSC tuner built in receive network broadcasts in HD for free over the air. I live in Orlando and pick up my local and network channels digitally using an indoor UHF loop. In fact, 24, Supernatural, and House are broadcast over the air for free in digital high definition here, and actually look much better then they did when I was receiving them from my local cable provider. I'm sure the same holds true for other new tv series, but those are the only ones I'm currently watching.

      Depends on how it runs, I suppose. If you do replace it be sure to use good cable and fittings.
