Re-authoring - which is best

Ok I have This wedding film from About 2 years back of my Brothers
but has No Menu's or anything..
Dont have the Original Tapes

SO which Program do I use To Rip Them From THE DVD so I can EDIT them

I cant Find any Program That I can Edit with VOB files
as they all take AVI's or Mpegs which is fine...

Tried Using some program called dvd to avi
But for some reason it just Renders like 30 mins

Please help me guys what Program I need to use to Transfer VOB files to AVI or MPegs

or Direct me to a Thread wher it explains this

If this Program Can make Vob Files into something I can EDIT with
then thats awesome ill let you know how it goes

Ill try 5 min of footage
and ill see if Adobe Premiere accapt it
