    Capture from VCR Noise Problems

I am using my VCR to capture a movie to my PC. I have finished it and authored the files so it is ready for DVD-RB to compress but I have video noise on the bottom of the screen. I have tried using the tracking on the VCR but it still doesn't help. Is there any way to get rid of the noise on the bottom of the screen?

Burn it to a disk and see if it shows on your TV. Computer displays don't overscan, so unless the noise is more than 10% into the picture odds are it won't show on a TV.

yes olyteddy the noise only shows on the computer screen. I encoded 200MB's of the files with DVD-RB abd I see no noise.

have you ever done a VCR capture like this? I am wondering about filters with DVD-RB. I may use something like removegrain or fluxsmooth, but it still looks pretty good but I haven't applied any compression yet.

        thank you

I capture through a Hauppauge PVR USB2 (MPEG2 hardware compression) card and author using uLead DVD Movie Maker.
