please help! error when creating a dvd using dvd flick from .avi files

I am trying to create a few dvds from some video we shot (in .avi format) using dvd flick (latest version)... Its a bunch of multiple .avi files, no subtitles, just a title (play) menu -- basic stuff I would have thought -- they run just fine on all my computers -- there doesn't seem to be any errors in the files themselves... I have all the settings right (I think) in dvd flick -- but I get an error about 1/2 minute into creating the dvd... What is wrong? I am posting both error logs sorry if this more than what's needed... thanks in advance I have been monkeying with this for about a week now and am about ready to throw the whole mess out the window lol...

In AviDemux use Tools Menu, then Preferences, then Automation Tab. Check the one that says "Automatically Rebuild Index" and load your .avi in there, then save. Try it then. I notice in your error message it says "Index invalid"

Either that or it's because it's an UltraDivx File(menu) and DVD Flick hasn't been updated since UltraDivx. You can also convert to mpeg using AviDemux.

Thanks! Resolved the problem... Converted all .avis to .mpegs using format factory -- once I did that all my problems never came back... I guess .avi is a vexing format to try to use to burn dvds with. But thanks for the input you got me on the right track! LOL

Avi is touchy. If the first converter chokes on it I usually try a couple more before messing with the file. The AviDemux trick typically only takes a couple of minutes.
