Maybe there was a burn error. What speed did you burn at?

Is this the right disc? Only one that showed up under Verbatim 16x.

Those are the ones I bought... forget how much I paid for them though... lol I just spend and forget!

They do make great reliable burns though! I did The Skeleton Key at 16x (see one of my first posts to these forums) and the playback was flawless! Though since then I've always stayed at 4x... rules ya know... heh

That's them, they are made at 3 or 4 plants in different countries,
and have a few quality control problems(mostly in India). Notice the
noobs burning at 16x and still getting good burns! Verbatim has the highest quality standards next to Tayio Yuden, which are still made in Japan.
Verbatim had some problems with 8x media which they seemed to work out with 16x.

                  Now cambion,
after you proved me right about firewire and external burners,
if you want to get a better burn from those verbs and don't multitask,
burn at 8x, multitask away at 4x.

Completely opposite from Memorex. Their 8x discs are Riteks, their 16x are CMC's. Notice the difference. I am gonna run out to the computer store and pick one of these up. Is one enough?

I have a pack of a hundred that looks like the same package and same dye. Mine are white injet printable bought at Sam's Club for $42.00 and they are MCC 004 so should be good deal unless s&h is high.

It's hard to make pretty coasters with verbatims, now you've got me wanting
                        one of those printers.

                          Disc ID: MCC-004-00

Woot that is a good code! I bought 2 50-packs, should last me long enough. I talked my dad into getting some to replace his crappy Philips discs, I think he is getting some tomorrow. This sale ends tomorrow, you can still buy them online - if you need discs, HURRY UP!!!

Also, is it safe to burn these at 16x? The site, http://best16xburn.com says that they are scientifically made to handle 16x burns... should I do a test burn (I DO have 100 of them ) and see what happens?

you should buy the 8X + ( MCC 003) quality is a bit less but only 14.86 for 50, you can burn at 16 but quality will go down

I have the 16x tho. And they were 14.99 for 50. I just burned a disc at 8x and it worked perfectly. Now, is 16x safe?
