DVDRW drive says its CD Drive. HELP!

Every time I put in a DVDRW disc in my DVDRW drive it says that its a CD drive. And Nero 7 only lets me burn 700MB like a CD when I have a DVD in there. I have burned over 20 DVDRW with this drive but suddenly this happened. Please Help.

Did you find the solution to your problem because I have the same issue. I have 2 drives that were both working perfectly. Then for no apparent reason they both are doing the same thing??

mine say CD too but it still working as dvd drive, but I dont burn dvd with nero

Mine does too. I do use Nero sometimes, & it allows me to burn the full DVDR disc size...
