    Converting to burn

Hi: Newbie City here. All I wanted to do was get a copy of an important dvd and wandered into a world of computer madness.

I couldn't get rid of the voice-over using my conventional software. I used DVD Shrink 3.2 to rid myself of the voice-over Ended up using both the "open file" option and the re-author to simplify and get rid of all those annoying extras. Now I am left with VOB files both ways. Do I have to convert the VOB files to AVI before burning or will VOB files play in DVD and PS3 equipment?

    Thanks.

Use ImgBurn to burn them. There is a tutorial on their site.
Convert to AVI for reducing in size, archiving, or for use on a stand alone player. Converting usually means (some/lot of) loss of quality and depends on which bitrate you decide and screen size. You will have to experiment with that to see the differences.
