I found out that the problem is the NVDVD s/w is having conflict w/ either DivX or 3ivX codec. I formatted my HD, installed Win2K & WinXP on different partition. On Win2K, I installed 3ivX codec before I install NVDVD, I got the same problem. On WinXP, I installed NVDVD w/o any additional video codec, it works perfectly. So I assume that's the problem. Any disagreement? Any possibility that I didn't mention or I didn't know? Even if I know that's the problem, I still have no idea how fix this though. Any suggestion? BTW, I know there must be people who has no problem having them all working together, right? If you have no problem having them all working together, please let me know I am wrong. Thanks for you time!!!

              um....

You are right on what is wrong, and to get rid of the other codecs use the link i provided above to download DXMAN, it allows you to manage all of your codecs.

I downloaded that, but I don't know how I should manage it. I have no idea which file I should get rid of what to do with them. Because I don't wanna delete the wrong file. Would you give me some hint? Thanks very much!

                  video codecs

sorry it took me so long to respond...what u need to do is delete any major video codecs on your machine. You need to do some research tho, because some of the codecs are needed. I just know what was important and what wasn`t as far as my codecs and what I use. Its kinda something u just need to know for urself. I deleted all major codecs except DIVX. If you have windows XP MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A RESTORE POINT BEFORE YOU START MESSING WITH CODECS!!!!!

                      Hello,

I've got a solution for those who find an "Unable to find the NVIDIA Audio Decoder" error. It is without doubt that this software is great, not better then winDVD 5 but the sound and integration with my Geforce 4 Ti4600 card is quite cool. The main culprit of the problem is the AC3 filter driver. Just use dxman (get it here: http://www.analogx.com/files/dxmani.exe) and look for AC3 Filter if u have one installed. Usually you'll get this error if u install Klite codec or FFdshow, sort of like an All-in-one codec software. I don't think that divx and 3ivx codecs interferes with Nvidia DVD player.

Removing the AC3 Filter is the way to fix that problem, I tried some of the others like DivX etc first, but the only one that matters is AC3.

Cheers for the dude who posted that originally!

I use to have this problem. the problem is that you have previous dvd software or codecs or mpeg2 decoders still on your system. download dxman from analogx's website it lets you know all the codecs filters etc you have on your system an lets you delete them. run that program an delete any thing that has to do with dvd or mpeg2 including ac3 filter except nvidia dvd. let me know if this fixes the problem be sure to set a system restore point to.
