Help with Hollywood+ TV out put

Hello everyone....im new to this forum, in desperate need of help!!!
I have recently bought a Hollywood+ DVD decoder card, when i hook it all up to a scart lead using all the correct wires from the REALmagic website i encounter a problem..
what im trying to do, to be honest with you is record DVD's onto video (for backup purposes *cough*) but when i plug it all in..to the scart socket in the back of my video player...the picture totally goes all wierd...it is fine one second then goes fuzzy, then fine again, this continualy happens. i tried plugging the av wires into the front of my sisters TV and the picture quality is perfect, but i cant record from the TV's AV in sockets...i have disabled Macrovision so know that isnt the problem...could someone please help me!
    thanks very much

I'm afraid you have not disabled macrovision. What you are describing is definately macrovision. Try a newer version of Remote Selector (of course then you'd have to pay for it but it does work) or else use Eugene's DVD Player. That works great, too.

does macrovision vary from video to video? becuase i've just tried my sisters video and instead of going fuzzy unfuzzy funny unfuzzy like mine, it is just a bad picture....not very sharp, but definetly viewable, kind of like there is interference or some sort...is this macrovision too?
anyway, ive downloaded that eugene's player you said about (thanks for that) but i cant try it untill i get home from college because im encoding a DVD which is only 88.7% done, with 2 hours left...i'll post again later, hopefully with sucess stories! thanks very much Talasonic

You mean a different DVD or a different VCR?
