    nero image burning problem

    Looking for help!fficeffice" /><O></O>
    <O> </O>
When I burn an image file onto the disc, the buffer stays at 0% and the overall process stays at 6%. The driver continues runing untill task cancelled. Burning process does not go any further. However, when I switch to Alcohol 120% to burn the same image file, fine. With no problem at all.<O></O>
    <O> </O>
More strangely, there was no problem to burn some files to the disc, like mp3, zip, rar…….<O></O>
    <O></O>
Burner: Sony DRX 800UL (External driver through firewire 1394) with latest firmware<O></O>
    Windows XP SP2.<O></O>
    Nero ffice:smarttags" /><?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com6.6.1</st1:chsdate>.4<O></O>
    <O></O>
I have reinstalled Nero several times. didn't work. I even tried to reinstall Windows with only Nero installed to avoid conflict with others, problem still there.<O></O>
    <O></O>
    Please help<O></O>

Check if DMA is enabled; sometimes windows revert in PIO mode without any warning.

Basic guide on how to check to see if your operating in DMA mode and how to fix it if your not.

Moreover, if you are doing APE to audio CD conversion on the fly, maybe your computer is not enough fast to provide data to the drive during the burn. Try to burn an ISO image on your HDD first, and then burn the image on the disc. This should solve the buffer problem.
