.mov,mpeg4 convert to mpeg2

I need help. I need to convert a .mov file or mpeg4 file so that I can burn a svcd. Does anyone know how. Any help would be great.

One of the best packages for producing Mpeg 2 (SVCD) video is TMPGEnc. However, it does not like .mov files. If you've got Premiere you can import a .mov file and render it as an avi from the timeline, export it and then put it through TMPGEnc to get a super quality VideoCD (mpeg1) or SVideoCD (mpeg2) file.

You most certainly CAN use TMPGEnc - with the available QuickTime plugin...

Sorreeee! Pardon my gaff. I deserve a slap on the wrist. I've been looking for a .mov to .mpeg convertor myself. Never thought of TMPGEnc having an appropriate plugin. Setarip, can you lpoint me in the right direction - I've misplaced my white stick.
