    Nero Re-Encode [Question]

i had already converted an avi to mpeg-1 using TMPGenc [latest version]. But still when i'm going to burn it in nero as VCD, it still not VCD Compliant and need to re-encode the avi.

My question is, is the re-encoding of nero degrades the quality of the converted mpeg-1?

"know it first." -reply on a thread

"converted an avi to mpeg-1 using TMPGenc"

You should have used TMPGEnc to convert it to "MPEG-1 VideoCD"...

I suggest to convert before any format to vcd or svcd using WinAVI cause it is faster than Nero Encoder;after that you can burn with Nero ...
WinAVI either recognizes .MOV (Quicktime) and .RM (Real Player) formats since the players are installed in your PC ...

i don't know if this is related but i'm trying to get Nero to stop trying to re-encode the already TMPEGEnc made Mpeg 2 video.

When i drag the file over to burn it seems like Nero is converting it again and i notice the file size shrinks by like 50MB.
