Help on transferring Tiff cartoon pictures on VCD

    Hi everybody,
I'm a nwb in video production so if my question sounds stupid please bear with me!!.
so here is my problem: I have make some still cartoon ilustration at 1440 x 1152 pixels RGB with sharp outline in Photoshop CS then I used "Ulead MediaStudio 6.5 Director's Cut" to create a PAL_VCD movie with stills of my toons. After that I used Nero 5.5 to make a VCD of it but at the output my stills become very "pixelized"...see my attached screen shot... Does anybody knows what went wrong?

Lower your resolution and see if it becomes more sharper?

jmet< Thanks for the suggestion! I gave it a try and it works well (artline painting in 352x288 pixels). However with this kind of resolution I can't have fine line (My 1pts stroke line become big!).
I have make some few test:

      test 1:
1pts/3pts/6pts artline (painter7) all on 352x288, 720x576 and 1440x1152 canvas then brought and converted into 352x288 AVI file (using Ulead working on 720x576 initial setting) then into MPEG (TMPGEnc, PAL VCD setting 352x288).
Result test1= the canvas 352x288 came out very good but 1pts lineart too big.

      Test 2:
1pts/3pts/6pts artline (painter7) all on 352x288, 720x576 and 1440x1152 canvas then brought and converted into 720x576 AVI file (using Ulead working on 720x576 initial setting) then into MPEG (TMPGEnc, PAL VCD setting 352x288).
Result test2= the canvas 352x288 came out good but 1pts lineart too big. The canvas 720x576 came out quite good and 1pts line is some kind of acceptable but not satisfying yet.

      Test 3:
1pts/3pts/6pts artline (painter7) all on 352x288, 720x576 and 1440x1152 canvas then brought and converted into 1440x1152 AVI file (using Ulead working on 720x576 initial setting) then into MPEG (TMPGEnc, PAL VCD setting 352x288).
Result test3= the canvas 352x288 worsen. The 720x576 is acceptable but not yet satisfaying. and the canvas 1440x1152 is bad.

From my test it is better to draw in 720x576 canvas for a good conversion into VCD. What do you think? Any suggestions?

      Cheers.

Do a Googlesearch for "slideshow " software that isn't inhibited by the display limitations of VCD (352x288 PAL and 352x240 NTSC)...
