    exporting an svcd file to a video camera

    hi, i'm not sure if i am in the right forum to ask this, but i hope so:

    i have a notebook with a mpeg-2 file (svcd) and i need to export it to my video camera sony dcrtrv17 conected via firewire output. can i do it? is there a software or something that i need to use? or its not possible?

    many programs support play back/record to tape via firewire, one example is pinnacle studio 8. u have to find other, though pinnacle studio 8 is available as a trial.
    Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!
