VOB -> Loss-Less AVI

OK.

I have sucessfully extracted a DVD to my harddrive.
Im looking to create Loss-less avi files from a VOB file. I know that the filesizes will be bigger and I dont care. Im looking to edit the avi's.
Is there any software out there that will convert VOB files to an loss-less AVI. Or is there any software out there that will extract and encode a DVD to a loss-less avi??

Thanks for the help.
I dont think any of these programs will work.
All these programs convert to DIVIX or XVid using an .avi as a container. Is there any software out there that will convert to a lossless avi codec?

Lossless avi is using no codec at all. Surely ONE of those will allow you to deselect, or not use any codec...
Try using SimpleDivX. On page 4 (Codec) select Custom codec, and see what options you have.

Use VirtualDubMOD (DIfferent than standard VirtualDub) coupled with the HuffyUV lossless codec.

Knowing that dvd2avi produces the file d2v and the extraction audio of the file vob.
What gives the function SAVE TO AVI : LOSSLESS OR LOSSY Avi ?

rip the dvd-files to hdd using smartripper, if you haven't already done.

then use FlaskMPEG. open the files (File > Open DVD) and wait some sec. then click "Options > Output Format Options":

Video: click "Select Codec" and look for the last entry its called like "full images (uncompressed)" or something like that. i got a german sys so its different
Audio: click "Select Codec" and select the compression you want, if you also want a lossless audio look below.

click "Options > Global Project Options (Export Movie Settings)", then "Show Output Pad" and there "Reset settings", then "Hide".
Now the Frame sizes are like the original, "Time Base (fps)" is auto-detected and should be correct, if you want to change the iDCT-Setting read the FlasKMPEG docs! .

If you want lossless audio, select "Direct stream copy" on "Audio". if you want to convert the audio into the codec selected above, select "Decode audio".

on "Post Processing" select "HQ Bicubic Filtering" and check "Keep aspect ratio". If you want to cut off the damn black borders click "Show Output Pad", check "Crop" and play with the buttons below. First use "Height -" until the lower border is hidden, then use "Top offset -" until upper border is hidden, then use "Height -" again.

Now you have your lossless video and if you selected "Decode audio" its all done. Otherwise you have to use two different programs, but write me a PM or email if you need more info how to use!
