    converting to DVD

I have an other simple question for you, specialists.
Let's say I have 3 or 4 movies in a directory. I'd like to put them on a DVD to see them on my DVD player.

I understood NERO was able to directly convert the MPEG's to a Video DVD ... Is that correct ?

If yes, then how do I know which of my movies can directly be treated by NERO, and which ones do I have to concert to MPEG, first ?

    Thanks !

I believe you are referring to "NeroVision". It supports these video formats: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, VOB, DV, VCD, SVCD and AVI files.

Not for viewing on a conventional DVD standalone player. The files must first be "Authored" into a DVD related file structure. (e.g. .IFO, .BUP, .VOB). If you want to burn them just for the sake of backing them up, then yes that can be done via “Nero Burning ROM”.

So to be clear, NERO needs, to burn video DVD's, a DVD structure with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS.

It can not convert any MPEG or DIVx file directly into a DVD structure.

          Correct ?

          Thanks !

            Yes

            It cannot.
