How Do I Convert A DVD To Avi Or Mpeg Format

I Have Alot Of Dvds And Want To Put The Movies On My Comp..How Do I Convert My Dvd's To Avi Or Mpeg Format...I tried DVD Ripper And DVD To Avi..But I Always Get Errors With Those Programs...Does Anyone KNow Any Programs That Are Eaier to use???/

Please use the SEARCH option in the forum.There r plenty of guides & articles about this.DVD to AVI can b done with any of these:Staxrip,Gordian Knot,AutoGK,SimpleDivX.AutoGK or SimpleDivx will b easier to use.
DVD to MPEG:What do u mean?DVD already has MPEG files.Do u want DVD to MPEG1 or VCD?Then try TMPGEncPlus.
Again I cannot emphasise enough,plz use the SEARCH option bfore u ask for help.
