I just have a new question?

I just hook up my HDTV to my computer but it can only play video on one screen at a time only (unless I unhook the computer monitor they will not play the video on my TV), is there a way to switch back and forth on the computer or you can do that within the computer command?

      and how

      Thanks

correction I can play file with media classic but not with VLC, and it can not play iso file with any programs

you have to clone or extend your desktop with display properties/advanced

after you get a player running then you drag that window to the right and move to the other display

I think it is ati, I thought I post the card infor earlier, it can play with VLC only if the computer monitor is unhook

I can switch back and forth now in the display and advance display just can't play two at one time with VLC, I think I will stick with it

              Thanks

Video Adapter ATI Radeon X300 (RV370)
now night, I can't remember everything

doing a full encode with my ati box/ btw is dvd flick multithreaded?

with both monitors hooked up at bootup go into settings, select the secondary device(big screen) and check extend my desktop onto..
then play the avi and drag the window off the right side of the small monitor

In the ATI Catalyst Control Center, go to the "Video" section and go to the "Theatre Mode" section. Here is where you tell the ATI driver where to display the video overlay (either on both the primary and secondary monitors, or just one a single monitor - the default setting is to display on the primary monitor only). There is one set of options for the "clone" mode and another for the "extend" mod. The options are:

"Standard mode" - only the primary monitor shows the video
"same on all displays" - the overlay is shown on all monitors
"Theatre mode" - the primary monitor shows the desktop and everything, while the secondary monitor (cloned monitor) shows a fullscreen video

You should select "same on all displays", which works best for me.

Alternatively, you can set your TV as your primary/main display, either in Windows Display Properties (right click on the monitor and select it as the primary one) or in the ATI Catalyst Control Center's "Display Options" section.

A limitation of Overlay Mixer. Use Media Player Classic and set the renderer as VMR9, or better yet, Haali's Renderer (install Haali's Media Splitter for the option to become available).

That depends on which encoder it uses.
