    Can't playback certain DivX videos

    Hi,
I've been running into issues with certain divx videos that I haven't encoded myself. I have all the latest DivX (6.8.5) and XviD (1.2.2) codecs installed, and am able to play other divx/xvid movies, so the problem is specific to these vids.

When I play them using media player classic I get a "cannot render the file" error. VideoLAN player also can't open it, and VirtualDub says that the file is of an unknown or unsupported file type.

I have attached a screenshot of the GSpot info. Your help is greatly appreciated!!

NOTE: I cannot attach a screenshot because I'm relatively new to this forum, please add the necessary http before the following:

Strange. I've installed and run it, and this is all the info I get (text mode):
      General
      Complete name : C:\temp\hdg_23.avi
      File size : 146 MiB

I've tried other playable formats and I get loads of information. I guess if MediaInfo doesn't recognize the codec it doesn't extract the info?

I've used GSpot to export in text format, here's what I got:

Right. And that means the file is probably corrupt.

You can try using mobile Media Player Classic Cinema it plays any format of video.
