    Win DVD Problem

Ok here is my problem. Whenever I play DVD's through Win DVD, the movie will play for a ceratin amount of time, and then all of sudden, stop, and return me to the Win DVD logo (the screen when the program frist starts). Therefore, I have to start all over and play the movie again. I would have to say that it only plays for like 2 minutes at the max and then the problem occurs. Hopefully someone knows what to do. Thanks.

    System Info.

    Pentium III 933 mhz
    256 PC133 SDRAM
    nVida Gefore Card
    16x Pioneer 116-DVD DVD-ROM
    Windows XP

A side not - I installed this program before hand and it worked fine, but I couldn't rip any vob files so I uninstalled it thinking that it would uninstall the drivers and such. When I loaded it up again, I could figured that all I had to do was switch a few settings on SmartRipper in order to rip dvd's but then the Win DVD wouldn't work. Let me know what to do - thanks.

Interestingly enough, that's exactly what the demo version of WinDVD does - plays a certain amount of video, then stops. Are you sure you have a registered version? You said it was fine before, so I'm guessing you have the full version. Also - try turning those settings back on in SmartRipper to make sure that's not the problem.

It must have turned out that I had a demo version since I got it from my friend. I should have stated earlier that I installed my copy that came with my DVD player first, everything worked in the playback but my ripping didn't work. Therefore, I uninstalled it, asked my friend to burn me a copy of his, I loaded that and then the ripping was fine but the playback sucked.

I now uninstalled my friends copy and installed mine and everything works playback and ripping HOWEVER, the playback skips. Say I am watching the movie, and then all of sudden the movie jumps 50 sec ahead and keeps playing. Another 30 seconds go by and it jumps again. What can I do?? Do you think it could be a hardware problem or a software problem?? My guess is as good as yours so I want to see what you got to say. Thats the problem now, I hope someone has a solution.
