    My DVD Guide

    Hi all,

Heres my DVD guide, it covers dvd's less than 4.3Gb and over 4.3Gb and burning.

I hope it comes in useful to all, maybe there could be a specific page for guides to be posted?

    Thanks

    Paul

      Re

      No Probs m8,

I use general DVD-R 2X compatible, dont seem to have any probs there.
Just ordered 10 from bigpockets.co.uk at 0.69p each, so I will see how they do.

                Hi,
I normally rip 4.3gb in iso mode then just burn straight from decrypter, not sure about 4.4gb???Does iso mode make a slightly bigger file than ifo where you can remove non essentials??

                  re

I use File mode, but use IFOEdit to remake the Video_ts files, so all is new.
                  Thats the only reason

I believe the exact maximum DATA size is 4.37Gigs (The saved ISO may be slightly larger since it contains required header information regarding how to write to DVD).

                      Hey,how`s it going???
I tried the dvd guide and something went wrong!!!
After I opened ifoedit and did all that there is to do for the guide.
                      It said this:

                      (Casino-movie)
                      Detected DVD Drive
IfoEdit can`t decrypt encrypted VOB files.

                      I click ok
And it said, failed to open writens C:\video_ts\VTS_01_1.VOB
I click ok and it says,Error writing file.
I click ok and it says,Finished correcting VOBU Pointers.
I click ok and it says, error open file.
click ok and says, maybe it is write protected!

But the thing is that I bought the movie my self.
And even before I started this,I let it play on powerDVD so all the files can be open and I don`t know what`s going on???
                      Someone help me ?????????????

                        Re

Sounds like it is tryin to open the file from the DVD in your drive, and not on your HDD, you need to use the one from the HDD that has been ripped.

                        Hope that helps

                          To alicia

Further to what swanside1 guessed, it seems you haven't even "ripped" (copied after removing copy protection) the DVD to your hard drive. Use a program such as DVDDecrypter to accomplish this FIRST. Then follow the guide, using the ripped DVD copy that resides on your hard drive....

It`s still doing the same thing.
