Can't open DivX but i have codecs (as GSpot says)

ok guys i'm having a strange problem, i'm downloading a DivX with a peer-to-peer program and when i was at about 22%, i paused the download, copy/pasted the DivX into another folder, rebuilt its index with DivFix and watched it (to see if the quality was ok), both video and audio worked.

Yesterday the download was about 65%, so i did the same thing as above (copyed into another folder, rebuilt index etc.) but windows media player says "Can't play file, Unregistered Interface" and if i try to play it with Divx or Vidomi, the program just crashes

this is the log for DivFix
Corrupted Data detected at frame 22752
    error offset: 927221638 ($124FD486)

    and this is from GSpot

    Video Format
    Codec
    4CC div3 Name: DivX 3 Low-Motion
    Codec IS Installed (details...)

    Audio Format
    Codec
    Name: mpeglayer3 (mp3) (0x0055) ISO/MPEG
    Codec IS Installed (details...)

now could it be that the error which occurred in rebuilding index made the file impossible to play?
Should I begin the download again or the file would be playable when it finishes to be downloaded?

    plz help me

    an ItalianGuy.

you said you rebuilt the COPIED version, thus no harm should have been done to your original file, that you're downloading
