    avi no sound

    i reinstalled windows and i installed divix 5.0 and it wont play all my avi files it shows the picture but no sound what codic can i install to fix this

    It always depends on what exact codec a movie uses. I suggest getting either Tsunami or Nimo codec pack to install all the necessary codecs.

      when i copy them i use flaskempeg the settings i use are divx mpeg-4 low motion and divix audio 128kps 48khz stereo if that helps what would be the right codec for that?

        i have tryed tsunami_filter and nemo, XviD and divix bundle 5 and none seem to work it played fine on windows meadia player b4 i reinstalled windows i dont under stand why it wont work and i didnt even do a full clean install i just reinstalled windows to get internet exploror 6 off and i went to play a movie i ripped and it wouldnt play the sound im running windows 2000 pro

          Try getting the FFDSHOW filter here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/f...7.exe?download

            The only VALID choices for "DivX Audio" are those that say "For DivX " - the highest of which is 64Kbps at 44,100Hz.

            Download and install the Radium (hack of Fraunhoefer) .MP3 codec. Then reboot your system. This codec will successfully provide the higher frequency and sampling rate you desire.
