    Strange A/V sync problem

I'm experiencing a strange A/V sync problem which wont go away. The audio has a constant lag of about 150 ms throughout the entire movie. It applies to all of my divx movies (and maybe xvid too, but not mpgs).

I have tried several different players; WMP, BS, Micro DVD and Power DVD. All the players give the same effect.

I have recently re-installed XP without improvement. ACE Mega codec pack is installed with the "minimal" codecs.

I can fix the sync for AC3 encoded movies through the AC3 control panel since it allows you to set the audio offset. But for non AC3 movies I don't have a solution.

I don't think it's a hardware problem since my specs are more than enough and I've tried 3 different soundcards (SB Audigy 2, SB PCI 128 and AC97). The CPU usage during playback is about 20-30%.

Are there any players out there which allow you to set the audio offset for all movies?

    Please help!!!

    Specs:
    AMD 1800+
    Geforce3 Ti 200

Have you tried manual skew correction of the audio stream? If not, try it using Nandub and see what happens. Good luck.

That would probably work, but that's merely alleviating the symptoms, not treating the disease. And I don't feel like doing it to all the movies I download. But it's a last resort. Thanks!

      Any other suggestions?
