    Divx 2-pass

    Hi!
well i use "Gordianknot" to Convert my DVDs to DIVX.... i have this problem when i use Multi nth pass or 2 pass, that after hours of encoding of the first pass on through "VirtualDub" (which is opened by 'Gordian Knot"), after 99% of encoding it shows the error that "Virtualdub" has some problem and it will be closed... there are two options "Send Error Report" and "Close", either way it gets closed and the whole gordian know is closed automaticaly...................................... .. this is the 6th time i wasted hours on this........ anyhelp?

and please let me know is there any other software to rip dds to Divx? like i used "DVDX", it was a nice software but if we wanted a movie of size "650" then we have to calculate the bitrate... and that quite poor...... but in gordianknot, it stays 650 mbs but quality is much much higher.............. any idea?
    any other software?
    Thanx....

you could confer your gordianknot settings with my guide if you like - maybe you will find differences.
click on my DVD GUIDE button

the tool that i use for month only is DVX - more on that by clicking on the dvx button.

Why you do not try dr. DivX, it produces almost dvd quality on a cd. One hour of movie is about 535 mb and the only thing you need to do is install the codec and play back with windows media player.
Also you need to know how to adjust the settings otherwise the audio will not synchronize with the video.
