DVD Authoring with DTS and/or multiple soundtracks

I've ripped individual chapters (or even parts of chapters) from a number of my DVDs to make a "demo disk" that shows off both the video detail of my HDTV and the sound (especially the deep bass) of my sound system. I used DVD Shrink to make the rips and to piece them together into the demo disk. Unfortunately, DVD Shrink doesn't do menus.

I've tried DVD Lab and TMPGEnc DVD Author and found that they could create simple menus just fine, provided the ripped chapters had Dolby Digital soundtracks. They both choked on chapters with DTS soundtracks (and I definitely wanted the DTS soundtracks for some of the scenes). I don't know if the problem is with how DVD Shink flags DTS soundtracks or if these apps just don't do DTS. Can anybody recommend a menu-authoring package that can handle DTS soundtracks?

On a similar note, can anybody recommend one that will allow me to select between muiltiple soundtracks for the same video? The ones I've worked with so far allow you to select only a single soundtrack. If you want a scene with two soundtracks, you'd have to include the scene twice. Given that video takes up way more space than audio, you end up wasting a lot of disk space. Ideally, I'd like my demo disk to include not only great scenes with great soundtracks, I'd like to be able to include both the DTS and Dolby Digital soundtracks (when both are available) and swap between them as I desire.

    Any ideas?

Actually DVDLab has that ability, but it's hidden in the "Tools" - "IFO editor-Audio"

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to go check it out! Any ideas why DVDLab isn't handling DTS soundtracks?

          Hi there,

you maybe interested in these guides for DVD Lab if you don't mind learning IfoEdit on the way :

These guides circumnavigate the limitations of DVD Lab allowing differing scource material and multi audio (DTS)
