    DVB and TMPGenc DVD Author

I`ve recently bought an AverTV DVB card which can save the broadcasted TV mpeg2 stream unchanged.
When i play back the mpeg2 file, it plays O.K, but when i author it using TMPGenc DVD Author and play it back, the video and audio start off in sync but soon become badly out of sync.
The mpeg2 file has a variable bitrate and the audio is 192kpbs, is this the problem, if it is whats the easiest way to overcome it ?
All replies will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for a great forum.

Hi, I had same problem with DVB. Download and use PVAstrumento to convert your mpeg2 transport stream (TS) to a program stream (PS). DVD needs a PS. Good luck
This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!

Thanks sfheath, have just tried PVAstrumento and it does exactly what I wanted, used output in TMPGenc DVD Author.

My pleasure. Hauppauge Technical Support put me onto PVAstrumento.
