    Test your IQ

    Link

    Here is what I got:

    Your IQ score is 135

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

I will reserve my judgement on the statement. For now, let's have fun and compare.

Is that score of 135 the same as the stanford binet l-m scale : where a score of 132 is the minimum of brilliance (top 2 % of all persons on earth)?

The test is relatively short and simple, so I doubt it is the equivalent of the 'true' IQ test.

Nevertheless, this looks like a fun game to play and share with others. Speaking of which, is everyone on this forum that afraid of taking an intelligence test? Come on!

Edit: My friends, whom I showed this test and took it, got around the same score as me. Therefore, I am positive you guys will score around the same mark or more. It seems hard to flunk the test anyway, not to mention that the result never has anything bad to say to the 'test candidate'.

I've done this test before, and I got 136 (a "visionary philosopher). I've also done proper IQ tests before (which are harder, but you get more time and get to use pen and paper to work out the answers), and have had similar scores.

There's also another test on the Mensa website :

It's not an IQ test, but does give you a good indication of your intelligence (or lack of, in my case ).

Well, I would take that test but the last time I took an IQ test, a lot of strange gov.'t type persons started spying upon me.

Well, I've also had THE IQ test. Reckon some posters are scared of the test, it's "kinda" like "I'll show you mine if you show me yours." type of thing. Reminds me of the time when I won a bet with a person when I bet him I could make a stallion horse laugh and then later won another bet with that same person when I bet him I could make that stallion horse cry.

Well, already put some fun into the thread with this post, didn't I? Notice the # of views and the # of posts? How is that in comparison of other threads? Well, it's evening time in most of US, so could be some more posters.

We could always start a "joke" thread, couldn't we? Good Idea, isn't it.

Did you know that the worst limiter of a person's intelligence is superstition. I researched quite a bit about intelligence and limiters, etc. and what others had put down in words fit well with what I understood/understand. Surely, somebody else wants to post on this thread.

Self-assumptions is a good candidate too.

What is more superstitious than self, which is the ego.

The foolishness of wisdom is superstition, also, is it not?

I have noticed that my most previous post did serve as the proverbial "ten-foot pole".

Seems, I have that "ten-foot pole" (and even more).

                    Intelligence "display" is like displaying"......................'s".

                    What fun!

Speaking of ten foot poles, let's discuss the statement "religion is just another form of superstition"...

Well, Admin., my third post's second sentence on this thread did answer your last post's suggestion of a statement to discuss and my second post's statement about a limiter of intelligence, refer back to the original poster's qoute as to IQ test and how many posters.

Well, already over 50 views, but many are timid, 'twould seem. We could even discuss if religion is actually the dreaded "mark of the beast", but somehow, I really don't think those whom aren't brilliant care about such things. Nor do I suppose they really care to understand the real and actual identity of the Lord of the old testament, nor that when people grow older they lose some of their memory (schooling, interaction skills with others, training, etc.) and then their apparent I.Q. is the same as when they were children, kind of a sombering meaning to understand what Second childhood really means and then to put that into a biblical context understanding. Adds new understanding to the "Thank God, I'm not religious." truth.

What say ye? Be ye men or mice?

                        We are having fun.

It's a game, damnit! Not an outright challenge to one's true intelligence (and why care so much about it when there are so many other determining factors in life?).

I think the fear that trickle/emode may use the email address you have to provide them for external promotions (eg. "spam" like activities) may also prevent people from taking the test. I used one of my email accounts that was already saturated with spam, so it didn't really matter much.

But I think IQ test are overrated. They are usually biased towards people for whom the language used in the test is their first language, and just because you can't spot patterns, doesn't mean you can't be a linguistic genius. And just because one is intelligent, it doesn't mean that he or she will be a success in life.

On the off-topic topic of online tests, here's an off the topic link to the Political Compass site:

A typology of political opinions plotted on 2 dimensions: economic and social.

Take the test to find out your true political compass - you might be surprised ... (I am a "Libertarian Left" BTW, somewhat similar to Gandhi and Nelson Mandela - not bad company, mind you)

Kind of sombering thought was that when the IQ tests were administered without the religious questions (mosques, church, etc..) and when the culture tests (fork and spoon, etc.), etc. were removed from some IQ tests, that some Chinese, S, Korean and Japanese children scored ~ 8 to 14~ % higher than caucasian children, verifying what I already understood.

It was also interesting that people from colder climates scored higher also. Lots of speculation has therefore ensued.

Really can't disparage level of intelligence as nature always prefers the most intelligent. Look @ the domiant species on earth and how long such dominance took.

Some have even gone as far as to equate the real definition of what a man is as to their level of intelligence. Seems I remember that to be 141 or 147 on the stanford L-M test, I forgot.

Enchanter, everything as far as determining factors go is, which choices were made. The worst enemy of intelligence is those whom fear.

                              Haven't you enjoyed the "game"?

We have had some fun and the views are improving, so let's have some more fun.

Admin., I'm not into politics, but as do many, I enjoy finding their lies and sharing such.
