Need Help With Some Xvid Doctoring

    Hello Folks,

I do have one Xvid file that is not complete. 50MB missing from 700MB file and beginning chunk of the file is not available while end chunk is.

This file is not playing anywhere. It is a rare one and the source disappeared long ago. And I promised to get it for a friend of mine.

Now, I know the file is correct because I can get static views of it from Edwatch and the content is what I want.

Resolution is 576x320 as output by Edwatch which I believe is correct since the static preview image is just fine.

I tried all repair tools and none worked.

    In summary:

    Resolution: 576x320
    Codec: Xvid
    Framerate: Unknown
Contents: Static preview shows the images properly (and it is the file I want).
    File size: 700MB
    Available: 650MB
Last 30MB of the file is available.
    Beginning is not.

Avipreview, avipreviewc, etc. all tried. None works. Video file might need some binary doctoring I think. Anyhow, an insight as to how Xvid works would be necessary I believe.

Can someone tell me how to salvage the contents of this file and make it watchable? Anything and everything you can think of would be great help to me.

Many thanks for your time in advance.
