    VirtualDubMod Processing Thread

Does it make any difference in quality if you choose
eg. Low thread priority instead of high, or its just a processing
issue and does not have to do with quality.

    That makes no difference...

That only defines how much processor power the program (VDub) can use...
( In relation to all other running processes)

    Example:

You have two programs (VDub n' MediaPlayer) running @ the same time...

Lets assume each program would need 100% processor power to run properly !!!

If you run VDub in high priority n' MediaPlayer in low priority...

VDub would use about 90% processor power while MediaPlayer would only use about 10% then !!!

But when you are running both programs in normal priority...

They would both use about 50% processor power !!!

Hope that explains it more or less...

    Hint:

If you use WinXP, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to watch all running processes...

Now right-click a process to set its priority !!!

    Bye

Aha i know that but sometimes programs need nore processing power and tend to change constantly.

To make sure that the program uses all available processor power set it to Idle...

I just meant that using idling would cause the programs to run very slow.

As long you dont use other programms it should use nearly 100% processor power...

Yes of course but since i have to keep some programs running i would prefer laving all programs into normal priority.
                    10nkx for th hints
