Booktype on DVD+R with Nero
Hi all,
I am using Nero 6.3.1.15 and a NEC 2500a. I backed up a couple of DVDs to DVD+Rs ( using the DVD-Video option in Nero ) and I noticed that the booktype was showing as DVD+R on DVDInfoPro. I thought I had read somewhere that Nero now automatically sets the booktype when using DVD+Rs to DVD-ROM ( for better compatibility ). Apparently, on earlier versions of Nero there was an option that you could select for this ( but it now seems to have been taken off ). I have a friend who uses a 1100a and Nero 5.5.10.42 ( I think ) and any backups he makes to a DVD+R automatically sets the booktype to DVD-ROM.
Have I done something wrong – or is there an option I missed. I know I can get bitsetting firmware for my drive, I just thought that Nero set the booktype to DVD-ROM automatically when burning on a DVD+R ( using Nero and DVD-Video burning mode )
