    widescreen xvid to dvd

Hi guys.. please bear with me... this is my first attempt at anything like this. I have 2 widescreen xvid avi files that i want to put onto a dvd. I downloaded tmpgenc and am confused as to what settings to do if i dont want my movie to be squashed. Also should i convert it to a VCD and then use the authoring software to convert it back toa dvd... or should i convert to a dvd to begin with? Thank you for any responses!

    No, use the dvd template.
when you go through the new project wizard, click "Crop", then 'advanced', then choose 'keep aspect ratio' from the pull-down menu (slide through the movie to check result, if that doesn't work, try another setting)

Hey I don't see crop or keep aspect ratio. I am using TMPGenc v. 2.5. Any Suggestions?
