A mpeg-1/avi--->DVD program without synch problems?

hi all, i am looking for a program that will encode an mpeg-1 or divx avi file to dvd very quickly. (quality shouldn't matter since i intend to use a high bitrate) MOST importantly, a program that has an extremely low chance in resulting in audio/video synch problems.(tmpgenc is a great program, and works perfectly for most of my files, but does not like these ones) Any suggestions?

    Thanks

DVD2SVCD with CCE as the encoder (though can use TMPGenc) processes the audio separately to the video and I'm yet to experience any a/v sync issues.

As for VCD mpeg1 to dvdr, just author them in DVDLab or if you want to convert to true D1 dvd format, use MainConcept MPEG Encoder and author the results in TMPGEnc DVD Author.
