    Audio problem with PowerDVD XP

    Sound issue with PowerDVD XP

    The rear speakers in 4 speaker Audio Format are barely making any sound. If I play any other music, sound, or even use another DVD player the rear audio is fine.

    I think this is the problem...
    -----
    At one point, in the information showed:
    Multispeakers Audio Device : Creative SBLive! (in use)

    The audio then was normal.
    ------
    Now it says:
    Multispeakers Audio Device : Creative SBLive! (not in use)

    Barely any audio.

    Is there a tweak or reg fix or something to change this?

    Thanks.

    You might want to check your settings in the Control Panel. Select "Multimedia". Click on the "Audio" tab. It should be showing your SBLive! card as the Preferred Device. Click on the "Advanced" radio button. See if the setup is for the proper speaker configuration.

    Let us know of your success ;>}

      k, checked on that and the SB Live was the preferred device and the speakers were set to 4.

      So, still no success.

        I don't personally use PowerDVD (I am perfectly satisfied with WinDVD), but, from within PowerDVD, there should be a "Setup", "Preferences", or "Properties" dialog available for configuring both video and audio...
