    "no video" problem with all needed codecs installed

    Got some strange video issues on just 1 computer.

    From starters it was like some movies plays (mostly encoded with divx3 or divx5), another with wv9 or xvid codecs won't. Installing xvid codec make all movies without video (means black screen with sound).
    I removed and reinstalled every codec that was possible. In general divx and xvid.

    Right now all movies in "black screen" mode
    Windows preview shows "screenshot" from movie picture on file icons.

    Gspot shows that there is 2-4 compatible codecs installed
    Render for video: (S) --> AVI Splitter --> ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder --> (R)

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks.

    Just a thought. Have you tried resetting your video overlay settings to default values?

      Nice thought, wrong tho.., but gave me nice idea

      Thats was overlay thingie, i have here TFT monitor with dual input (DVI/Analog) and same videocard (this used for cpu switching thingie), overlay was played on different instance of same monitor, so i couldn't see it.

      Fixed redirection, now all fine.

      Thanks!
