LG GSA 4082B Focus or Tracking error

    Hello.
I have a LG GSA 4082b burner and I used to burn succesfully using a LG 2-52x cd as media. However, I tried to burn an audio cd today and nero returned and focus or tracking error. I have never heard about this but i have checked the forums and saw some posts about it, but i am creating this new post because the burner used to burn using LG media cds but now it is giving me that error.
    Any tips?
    Thank you.

    Hi!

Try using a cleaning disc on your burner.

I will try to use a cleaning disc.
I tried to burn a CDRW today, i first deleted all its contents, then i tried to burn, but my recorder didnt even recognize the disc after it was formatted. Seems my burner just like full cds or dvds. It justs reads, doesn't want to write

Don't get fooled by buying such a cleaning disc. I did that and what a waste of money.

My sister use that burner and you don't have the latest available firmware installed. A209.
The Phoenix bird builds its nest which at the same time is its funeral pyre, and then setting it alight cremates itself. But it arises anew from the ashes transformed.

          Are you sure?
I have just looked for latest version at USA LG and Taiwan LG sites and they both seem to have only A108. Do you have a link for the 109 version?

Cleaning discs are often waste of money as the don't usually do anything and they can scratch the lens.

A focus error is a hardware problem. It can be bad media at fault but if the discs are ok. I would look at the writer itself.

            Try the firmware upgrade.

A209 Region and A209 Region free firmware can be found here.

              Hello.
I have upgraded my firmware but I am still getting the focus error when trying to burn. It is reading CDs and DVDs, but it is not burning.
              Attached is the new log.
