No sound on playback

I've just burned an episode of a TV show onto a cd-rw. Played it back on my dvd player which accepts these disks, there is picture but no sound.

What have I done wrong? Or what should I do?? I'm completely useless on these matters.

list the procedures you used to get the the file/encode/burn to disc plz.

i assume you checked for sound before burning to disc?
