There is an update for your burner: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1798

That error message is normally only showing up when you have an USB burner attached. I that you don't have.

Have you done any good DVD burnings with that burner before?

according to a meatball at nero...a "reset occured" error can also be triggered by cheap media burned to fast (8x)

Burned all the time until 2 weeks ago

I have burned several movies with this burner at (8X). I have losted about 28 discs from errors in the last week. I read all types of threads but none seems to help. I only purchase DVD-R Sony or Memorex.

28 discs???????? do yourself a favor and buy an rw disc and use it untill this is resolved.. seriously. there is no reason on gods green acres anyone should make more than 1 coaster at a time. the brand you buy is not nearly as important as the ID code in them.

good sony discs for example that i use have the ID code "08d1" (sony dvd-r 1x-8x). what you ought to do is upgrade the firmware like cynthia told you, use a GOOD quality disc and burn it at 2x or 4x.

            EDIT:

"My firmware is DQ24...B130...and when I tried to upgrade this is the message

i remember you now, you have the same problem in another one of your threads.
