    Extreme procedure? firmware flash

    talk about being safe!

    Firmwareupdate ND-2500A

    Pls note following instructions for update procedure:

    Connect drive to secondary IDE channel as Master (Use standard UDMA-2 IDE cable)

    Disconnect all slave hardware from IDE secondary Master

    Update in Windows "Safe Mode"

    Under Windows 2000 & XP login as administrator

    Update without DMA mode, under Windows XP & 2000 in the device manager - "IDE ATA/ ATAPI controllers", you can switch from DMA to PIO mode

    Disconnect all external USB/ FireWire devices.

    Deactivate virusscanners, active desktop programs and packetwriting agents

    Do not turn off power during the updating process.


    INSTALLATION: After unzipping file pls. double click on "K250GNA0.exe" file, follow instructions.
    After, you have to reboot your system.


    If you have problems after updating your drive use following steps:

    1.Deinstall all your burnsoftware(s), also cleanup registry, e.g. registry cleaner can be found here http://www.nero.com

    2.Update your mainboard driver(s). Contact manufacturer of your mainboard/ PC package for newest one.

    3.Reinstall and update your burnsoftware.
