    Some dvd drives don't read all kinds of burned disks.

        I used to have a pioneer dvd-rom and burner, when put in the same computer
        it wouldn't even boot.
        How many different types of media have you tried?

                        @lintan

                        What rbrtpl been trying to get from you is what is your DVD's brand and what speed. e.g. TDK DVD+R 8X or Verbatim DVD-R 4X.

                        It should be on displaying on your blank DVD's label side.
