    Matizes changing after encode

    hi all !

    to don't post lots of screenshots(later if needed),i have seen some interesting differences.
    loading all in vdubmod and comparing the vob(ripped folder) with this .avs script:
    for cce:
    LoadPlugin("C:\Arquivos de programas\DVD-RB\DGDecode.dll")
    mpeg2source("D:\ELVIS\D2VAVS\V01.D2V")
    ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true)
    for HC:
    LoadPlugin("C:\Arquivos de programas\DVD-RB\DGDecode.dll")
    mpeg2source("D:\ELVIS\D2VAVS\V01.D2V")
    ConvertToYV12(interlaced=true)
    result the exact matizesbut after encodeusing this encoders,the matizes change...it's one Elvis show(aloha from Hawaii).
    all the flowers(bikinis from girls(wow)) and everything that have pink or magenta colors change the matizes,seems that encrease the "light" like solarizations.
    if use colormatrix() the result is worse,the "lightness" encrease.

    now the "dangerous" question: why it change only after encode(HC or CCE)?

    hi all!
    (this thread was moved to this forum but i don't think that is some rb issue)
    [edit] screenshots from minority report

    cce (vbr_bias=25,vbr_passes=3,quality prec=16) V01000100002001.AVS:
    #------------------
    # AVS File Created by DVD Rebuilder
    # VOBID:02, CELLID:01
    #------------------
    LoadPlugin("C:\Arquivos de programas\DVD-RB\DGDecode.dll")
    mpeg2source("D:\MRTEST CCE\D2VAVS\V01.D2V")
    trim(1,9664)
    ConvertToYUY2()

    HC (best(slowest)) V01000100002001.AVS:
    #------------------
    # AVS File Created by DVD Rebuilder
    # VOBID:02, CELLID:01
    #------------------
    LoadPlugin("C:\Arquivos de programas\DVD-RB\DGDecode.dll")
    mpeg2source("D:\MRTEST HC\D2VAVS\V01.D2V")
    trim(1,9664)
    ConvertToYV12()

    VTS_01_1.VOB (source)

    all this screenshots are from vdub and don't have importants changes in matizes.

    see now what happens after encode(compare with source and scripts) and freeze :

    cce

    HC

    i don't need that screenshots in full size to see the differences...
    see that from .vob and from .avs scripts(with differents colorspaces),
    i have seamless matizes, but (asking again and excuse me to be so bored) :

    why the matizes change(so much)after encode?!?!?

    the screenshots have few matizes,imagine now when have lots differents in the movie!

    regards and (again) HNY!

      ahhh.... ...
      nobody never saw or had that differences,never compare the source with the result?
      i think that can be something wrong in my system but i don't know what can do that.
      what is used when encoding that was not posted? i forgot something?

      see my screenshots and if you have time,encode a single segment(cell) in RB to compare.
      if the resulting matizes are like the source,is only that i need to know if my system have or not any issue!

      regards!

        matizes changes before encode too.
        easy way that i found ...(i'm not advanced)
        create this "script" for test and load in vdubmod:

        Colorbars(720,480)

        save the bmp!

        now use:
        Colorbars(720,480)
        ConvertToYUY2()
        #ConvertToYV12()
        #converttorgb32()

        save one bmp for each colorspace.("changing" the # position)
        compare the first bmp without colorspace with the last 3 pictures.
        look the matizes(all) and what happen between the green and magenta!

        bye!

          only to inform:
          after lots of tests and encoding differents sources,i have one very strange information:
          the differences of matizes happen only with Minority Report (mine is region 4 and was encoded 2 times for test)

          see pictures from post #2 again to compare or click here: http://forum.digital-digest.com/show...77&postcount=2

          with LOTR,Bugs Life,Shrek,Led Zep(srts),Woodstock,Toy Story, the colors(matizes) are perfect!!!

            Could it be due to the colorspace conversion Jeo ???

              maybe.......i really don't know tech!

              happen with MR using HC or CCE that works with differents colorspaces
              and this "green" matiz turn to blue,the others colors don't have much changes.

              take a look(download) :
              screenshots from source and encoded 5,16Mb.
              or
              .vobs from source and encoded 8,29Mb

                shots from .avs "changing" colorspaces:

                a Colorbars(720,480)

                b Colorbars(720,480).converttorgb32()

                c Colorbars(720,480).ConvertToYV12() # HC colorspace

                d Colorbars(720,480).ConvertToYUY2() # CCE colorspace

                shots a and b:
                don't show differences between colors

                shots d and d comparing with shots a and b:
                the elipse(in black)show how the colorspaces YV12 and YUY2
                are "creating" one strange line between green/magenta.
                have one sharp line between cian/green.
                the general matizes change(a little)

                *imageshack lose too much details,my bmps are showing more differences.

                  shots from source,.avs and after encode(changing matizes) .

                  source

                  .avs

                  (.avs) encoded

                  from source and .avs the matiz(green) don't change.
                  after (.avs) encoded the green turn to blue!

                  was used Asharp(1.1,2.2) in the .avs to encrease sharpness(doh)
                  *encoding without the filter the matizes are changing in the same way!

                    final shots:

                    source

                    .avs

                    (.avs) encoded

                    irrelevants changes in colors comparing all shots.
                    used Asharp(1.1,2.2) in the .avs.
                    *encoding without the filter the matizes are seamless!
