Ripping Help

If i ripp a dvd disc i will obtain 4 or 5 vob files. After the enconding proces i will obtain 4 or 5 avi files. How can i reunite the avi files to obtain a single one (for 1 CD) or 2 avi files (for 2 CD)???

Hey pal
I'm learning too, but if you rip a DVD, you will get 4 or 5 or more files.
And if you encode those vob files (with FlaskMpeg for ex), you will obtain only one avi file (and the size is up to the configurations you set)

If you are using Flask, use the option Open DVD and open the respective .ifo file (You did remember to rip this, didn't you?). Flask will treat the collective of them as one batch to be encoded, so as to speak.

In addition, making a DVD2AVI project and frameserving them with either vFAPI or GordianKnot will also simplify the whole process.

In that case, you may want to follow Doom9's guide for nandub encoding...

@Suhoi,

You also downloaded the file "DVD.mism.exe"?
After installing this file all VOB-files will be opened if you select the first VOB-file.

I would suggest you using GordainKnot if you want to get really good DVDRips. Ofcourse you can use nadub and it's SBC encoding immediatly but it's a very large step cause it's rather though to learn. GKnot do the most of that shit for you and you still get a good quality. Read my guide and see if you can get some ideas about what it's about.

Nandub. The quality is worth the hassle.

You need only download and install the binary (executable) program...

Why AVI ???

Why do you want to rip this into an AVI? Just rip it and convert it right away into Mpeg using the save project option in dvd2avi and then use TMPGEnc for the final. Yuoll get one file. Size depends on the dvd. Iususally end up with 700 - 1200 mb. Let us know how it all workz out for you...

I read in some nandub documentation that nandub r designed only for DivX 3.11alpha and MPEG4v2 . Can u tell my guys if nandub works also with Divx 5?

Enchanter, u use nandub and divx3.11 alpha?divx3.11 is still good?
I ask u akll this coz i saw that u r an important member of this forum(with lot of experience i think) and i wana obtain the best is possible from my divx movie.
Last nite i try to encode Saving Private Rayan with dvd2avi in 2 pass and the result was "desgusting".
I still hope to find the best solution for encoding
