    Blu-ray Backups

What's the latest on backing up blu-ray discs? From what I've read, the blu-ray dvd's will play in any dvd player in regular mode. If this is true then any wouldn't a regular dvd drive read the disc? If it can read it, wouldn't it be only an matter of time to crack to code so you can backup your discs in regular resoltions? Please let me know if this isn't the place to ask this.

    Thanks

Ahh, one bitten by the early bird bug.

Those things have not been out long enough to even attempt a backup much less even finding equipment and technical support to support them this early in the game.
