PAL avi to NTSC mpg conversion

Can TMPGEnc Plus directly convert a PAL avi to a NTSC mpg?
I tried and the result is a jerky output...
    Thanks for any suggestion.

TMPGEnc by itself? no, unless you like the jerky ouput this method always works, and is easy, no sync issues - ever.
Talk about the TMPGEnc line of software, including TMPGEnc Express, MPEG Editor and TMPGEnc DVD Author

        Hi Gillou,

Just out of curiosity ... why are you converting your PAL AVI to NTSC!?!?

The new DVD Players play all kind of AVI's just fine!

              Hey Columbo,

In order to skip the #6 step in your guide, can I just select ES (Video+Audio) in the "Stream type" tab? It makes the output in 2 separate streams...
              Thanks

i wouldn't deviate from the guide, i recall people complaining about sync issues that way - why i don't know. i think it also adds a little more time to encode. de-multiplexing only takes a few minutes anyway - but you can try it and see
