    how to permananently subtitle movie?

Hope you can help ... I have looked at the program tuturial and have tried the programs in your permanent subtitling guide but ... nada.

I want to subtitle a movie that was supplied me in QuickTime format (.mov). I also have it in .wmv (it didn't convert well and the beginning will have to be rebuilt).

I have made and synched a subtitle file using DivXland but have not been able to find a way to attach it to either of the movie files. VirtualDub no longer recognizes .wmv files because Microsoft threatened to sue them (no surprises there) and it isn't doing any better with the .mov file.

Can you point me to any resources or offer any help? Thanks
