    Help encoding

I tried encoding some recorder off my camera, mpeg 2 video (quality is excellent) tried converting to xvid and divx. I tried both formats, even the latest divx 6.7. And set the video frame rate high 1500 and audio 224 mp3. I am not happy with the quality. It seems bad, interlaced somehow. Its not like the professional encoded avis I sometimes download. Used different encoders, divx encoder that comes with divx codec, simple divx, and Video 2007.
    Thanks

try this program called "Prism". It's free and not very big. When compressing or converting videos, it has several codecs and compressions to choose from. It might help you out.
