No Hard Drive attached to fast track Controllers! Help!

Asus K8V SE deluxe motherboard
2x 36Gig Western digital Raptors on RAid-0
ATA connecters on SATA 1&2
No connecters on PRI_SATA & SEC_SATA

Hello, this has happened before "No drive attached to controllers" when booting up" and it would reboot to bios again but still takes me back to Windows XP Home and tells me i have a new hardware installed everytime. Sometimes it would take me to another screen and tells me to push F1 or F2.
What is going on? All i can think of is reinstall everything + the Raid controllers which i did when i got this massage before the 2nd time it has happened to my computer.

I have 2 of those same raptors, they are slow to boot and very power hungry, having to spin up to 10K I guess, I wouldn't dare stripe them, use one for system, the other for data and swap file

Hmm i dont want to lose all my data, I am tired of having to reformat my computer every 6-12 months lol. When i reboot my computer i get the massage i mentioned above but I left something out. It says "No drive attached to controllers. Bios not installed" It doesnt say fasttrack, but im wondering why it say no bio installed now. Its like someone hacked and deleted my bios.

Oh yeah how do i "use one for system, the other for data and swap file"

if your stripe is busted your data may be lost forever, that's why I don't stripe any more,
this is common knowledge, striping is solely for speed and performance and critical non-replaceable data never trusted to a stripe

see if you can go back into the raid bios and see the stripe, are you sure your power supply is not to blame?

Im not sure if my power supply is the blame but my computer is functioning fine for now. Ive been running raid-0 for the last 5-6months and it ran fine lol. I had raid-1 a year ago.

raid 5 with a spare drive is the best way to go if you have to raid

I have been running for over 2 years without raid on a dual raid motherboard

chewy i was just going to ask about this. i have raid 1 on my pc. but there's an option in bios to switch to sata which my hd is, and which i have only 1 right now. it wouldn't hurt to switch the raid off and select sata right?

I would leave it alone, it should have been set for sata first before the OS was loaded?

Every bios is different tho? Most raid bios's will autoconfigure a single drive as a 1 drive stripe or even jbod, have seen both. Once I get the drive(s) seen and the OS loaded I never change anything, especially drivers.

the bios says it's set to factory default on raid auto-detect if ata, but it does give you the option to select sata. what would b the change anyway, if a positive 1 at that? would it speed up my pc performance wise all around?

leave alone is right. it popped up a window saying that the os would not boot, or would have to b reinstalled. been there. done that. been doing very well ever since i put in zonealarm, spybot, and avast, after my last re-install.
